There is a state of life we all enjoy to be in. Current-state.. Only if nothing bad is happening. When something's don't go your way, you wish rather pine for that current-state. But that Current-state is such a horrible poison, it's such an addictive drug, that it numbs all your senses.
In that Current-state we give in, drop down our fences, start assuming and worse forget to move on. I saw the kid president speech by the soul pancake group and it reminded me the words of Steve Jobs and pretty much the sentiment of every visionary on earth.
"I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what's next."
This applies to every aspect of life.
S is out of town and that brought me out of my current-state... The question is, what will I do till she gets back?

Monday Blues
If Monday blues is a shade of blue ... then post long weekend monday blues is the darkest blue that exists out there in the world of pantone.
The day started off as usual with me waking up just to drop s at the station. But unlike any other day I ended up jogging for 2+ miles. I was dedicated to kind of go out there and restart my exercising habits back. Which also got me back to reading the news while listening to the radio.
Work was a bit of a drag on a monday after a 4 day weekend. Hopefully tomorrow wont be so bad.
Had tomato soup for lunch and Aloo Paratha, Aloo Methi Sabji and Navratan Kurma for dinner.
Highlight of the day was taking pictures for lil S my nephew for his 1st bday. I edited a disney badge that we had received on our 1st visit to read 1st Bday. S and I cut a small pastry and took pictures while doing so ... was good to do something for lil S's first bday.
Also its one of those days for S. She has to work tonight so was a lil bit off focus. Sometimes that gets me cranky ... it did me today.
Off to a lil bit this and that on TV.

Ramblings.
Its been a year since S and I have been in a long distance relationship. This is the 3rd time we are in an LDR again. Every new one seems harder than the last one. God, I dont want any more long distance relationships. One thing the LDR does is gives me time to watch a lot of online videos and listen to any music at any time I want.
My music taste is all over the board. I started off last year listening to Coke Studios Pakistan (Way better than the piece of crap they put up in India). Current playlist is a bunch of Dido hits, eminems stan and landing in london. Talk about variety eh?
Talking about videos, I saw this presentation by Bret Victor, an ex Apple UI designer, a brilliant person. And I think his presentation was brilliant! more about Bret at www.worrydream.com

Btw: Last year I got to see Coldplay up close. This year I get to attend their concert.
and The IRON MAIDEN! hell yeah! 30+ but finally seeing my dream materialize.
End of the weekend. Back to the grind.

Time flies
S was here for 4 days. Ok, for those not in the loop, S is currently studying, so she has to stay away from home. Thankfully this is'nt as bad as our previous days, when I was studying and S chakki pissoing in UK as an IT professional. Its just 90 miles but it takes a whole 2 hours (I drive very safely ... lol S this is for you), actually the roads leading to Boone are not a freeway but an internal state highway type cos the place she stays at is holed up in the mountains and the closest "freeway"-ish road is the "Blue Ridge Parkway".
So S was here for 4 days, and time just flew. We "shopped" at P.F. Chang's ... so we had leftovers and S wanted a carry bag and not the P.F. Chang's version of a Dog-Bag. And the waiter comes back with the carry bag and says "Thank you for shopping at P.F. Chang's" that did tickle my bone all the way back home. Then I came home earlier the next day to work from home, and ironically, after S's nice beauty trip, when we got stuck in traffic, I took a shortcut through my Office at 5:40 in the evening... Then we met our friends played a couple of rounds of carrom the one game where S and I are almost cut throat competing against each other almost every time. Saturday saw me running errands, laundry ,car wash, eating fried fish and fish curry, eating more fish, watching movies, etc, you know the usual errands.
Btw I got X-men and X-men 2 for a steal deal, it was fun to watch the movie in the surround sound on my cool TV which btw is begging for a PS-3. Just for the Blu-ray feature. Honestly. God-Promise.
Sunday was funny cos I chopped all the vegetables, S cooked em we ate it. Sat down and then something funny happened, a spyware somehow managed to get into my system and scare the shit out me n S. Then it was an amazing race kinda thing where I had to reinstall the OS on the machine before S had to leave. We checked the clock and kept on loading drivers after drivers. Finally S had to install Office and the anti virus on her ride back to the mountains. Yup there are people kind of the computer scientists type that live in the mountains.
The whole point of this exercise was to identify how 96 hours flew so fast.
Whats music got to do with all this? I was able to develop a likening to the music of Yuvraaj. Cant help it, theres not much out there to listen to, so I am now listening to my favorite song, "Tu Meri Dost Hain" my second favorite song is "Tu Muskura" but theres a couple of notes there that I wish didnt not change their pitch and kinda went in the tempo, but I dont even know if this sentance that I just wrote makes any sense. So what the heck, beggers cant be chosers. Dying to find some good music. Thats it.
